about

One riddim, many different artists, two upcoming releases on Yutman Records!

Three years ago Jon Moon published the song "Rasta Is" on his debut album "Trust.". Seven singers and songwriters have now reinterpreted the riddim with their own lyrics and melodies. The first versions of the original can be heard from September 18th on the selection "Rasta Riddim - Vol. I".

"Rasta Is" the sun hiding behind the clouds (Look Into the Sky - Memoria), a voice for all brothers and sisters of the Rastafari movement (Reaching For The People - Akeem Garrison), inner beauty and the self-confidence of femininity (Beautiful Girl - Keishera), the voice of liberation and justice (Sing A Song Rastaman - Exile Di Brave), the protecting hand on the path of life (Never Lose My Way - Queen Fyah), respect for Mother Earth (Eine Welt - Junior Randy) and the expression of deep feelings (When I Cry - Julian Asher).

With "Rasta Riddim - Vol. I", the second riddim selection will be released on Yutman Records after the "More Fyah Riddim", produced by Jon Moon and mastered by Ganjaman at Planet Earth Studios in Berlin. Volume II is coming soon...
